the three kinds of poem
some poems are formed in stillness
and take a crystalline form
brittle - they cannot be touched again
others are moulded slowly at first
like clay they later harden
but a poet may choose to apply a glaze
the third kind are made of iron
returned to the forge
they become pliant to another beating
